FoodBuddy is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Product, ingredient, and database information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or differ from the actual product. FoodBuddy does not determine whether any food is safe for any person and does not provide medical, diagnostic, dietary, or therapeutic advice. Always read the physical product label and manufacturer information. If you have allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, or uncertainty about a food or ingredient, consult qualified medical professionals.
FoodBuddy cannot and does not
- Decide whether a food is safe for you or anyone else.
- Diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or assess any disease or condition.
- Replace the physical label — packaging and recipes change without notice.
- Guarantee that a database entry matches the product in your hand.
- Detect cross-contamination or “may contain” traces from an ingredient list.
- Replace advice from qualified professionals.
What FoodBuddy does instead
It reads or looks up ingredient lists, compares them with interest areas you selected, highlights matches with the reason for each match, and surfaces alternative names an ingredient may be listed under — so you can explore further yourself. No warranties beyond statute
To the extent permitted by law, we provide the information in the app and on this site without warranty as to completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Your statutory rights, and our liability as described in the Terms of Service, remain unaffected.
