Refund & Withdrawal
How cancellations, refunds, and the EU right of withdrawal work for FoodBuddy purchases.
1. Web purchases (via Paddle)
Web purchases of FoodBuddy Plus, once available, are sold by Paddle as Merchant of Record. If you are an EU/EEA or UK consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase for digital subscriptions, unless you expressly agreed to immediate performance and acknowledged losing the right upon full delivery — for subscriptions we honour a 14-day refund window from first purchase in any case.
To request a refund for a web purchase: reply to your Paddle receipt email, use the link in that receipt, or email us at myinfo@insight42.com with your order number. Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Paddle.
2. In-app purchases (via Google Play)
Purchases made inside the Android app are processed by Google Play and follow Google Play’s refund policies. Request a refund via your Google Play order history; if Google declines and you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us and we will look at it.
3. Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Cancel in Google Play (in-app purchases) or via the Paddle receipt / customer portal (web purchases). No cancellation fees apply.
4. Muster-Widerrufsbelehrung (DE)
Verbrauchern in der EU steht ein 14-tägiges Widerrufsrecht zu. Um dein Widerrufsrecht auszuüben, genügt eine eindeutige Erklärung (z. B. E-Mail an myinfo@insight42.com) innerhalb von 14 Tagen ab Vertragsschluss. Bei Web-Käufen über Paddle kannst du dich auch direkt an Paddle wenden; die Erstattung erfolgt auf das ursprüngliche Zahlungsmittel. Deine gesetzlichen Rechte bleiben unberührt.
5. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory statutory rights, including warranty rights for defective digital products under EU and German law.
